2. Change-of-Mind Returns

Because shipping containers are large, specialised products that require transportation and delivery arrangements, change-of-mind returns are not automatically accepted.A change-of-mind return may be considered at the discretion of PK AND J HOLDING COMPANY (PTY) LTD, depending on the circumstances, condition of the container, delivery arrangements and costs involved.Where a change-of-mind return is approved, the container should remain in substantially the same condition as when it was supplied.Any applicable return, collection, transportation or other costs will be discussed with the customer before the return is arranged. This section does not affect any statutory rights the customer may have under South African law.

  • The container is reasonably accessible.
  • The collection vehicle can safely reach the container.
  • There is sufficient space for loading and removal.
  • Any necessary access arrangements have been made.

Where a return is required due to a defective, damaged or incorrectly supplied product, return or collection arrangements will be handled in accordance with applicable law and the circumstances of the transaction.

4. Condition of the Container

Before approving a return, we may request photographs, videos, purchase information or other relevant documentation. The container should remain in substantially the same condition as when it was delivered, except where the return relates to:

  • A defect.

  • Product availability.
  • The condition of the original product.
  • The circumstances of the return.

  • Applicable South African law.

If the replacement container or product has a different price, any applicable price difference will be discussed with the customer before the exchange is processed.
